duel memories

Emi starts off inexperienced at Dueling, but as she plays the game more, she will eventually grow to be more assertive and sure of herself, and her Dueling improves as a result.Emi's wheelchair, which is a product of Morningwalk Academy's engineering students, has an integrating Dueling System, allowing her to Duel from her chair without needing a Duel Disk.

Emi uses a Exosister Deck initially, then grows to using Voiceless Voice as she learns to become more assertive with her Dueling.Exosister is an Xyz Monster-based archetype focused on preventing, and punishing the opponent for, interacting with the Graveyards.Though the monsters have low ATK, they are able to form Xyz Monsters using only themselves as the material, allowing her to set up an offense.

Emi later upgrades to using Voiceless Voice as she learns to become more assertive with her Dueling.Voiceless Voice is a Ritual Monster-based archetype which focuses on Ritual Summoning Skull Guardian, the Voiceless Voice Protector which increases to high ATK power and functions as an omni-negate.This archetype can perform multiple Ritual Summons, and uses Continuous Spells and Traps to maintain the advantage or to gain protection while doing so.

I am willing to start a new thread with anyone who asks. All I ask is for basic comprehension of English and a willingness to write an interesting thread. I will not interact with people who give me little to work with.

  • Please don't send me any private messages whatsoever unless I have indicated I want a DM or we are specifically talking about a thread we already have started.

  • Please no carding, killing, or injuring Emi without my permission; aka, please discuss the idea with me beforehand.

  • Please reply substantially. I do not have length requirements, but please do more than the bare minimum.

At a young age, Emi had an accident that injured her spine, leaving her permanently paraplegic; her body, from the waist down, is disabled. Despite what happened to her, Emi is still typically a cheery if subdued girl.Emi likes to spend her time reading and studying literature, a hobby that has given her both a philosophical streak and an affinity for making clever quotations and comparisons to the world around her.At the same time, Emi's condition frequently gives her negative and insecure feelings of her place in the world. Though these occurrences are rare, they are intense and can last for weeks, especially because she does not openly discuss these feelings and tries to mask them instead.Despite her condition, Emi prefers to act as independently as possible. She now attends a private boarding school called Morningwalk Academy.Emi still frequently needs assistance. Thus, her day-to-day life is helped by a state-of-the-art medical robot. The first of its kind approved for public use, it still yet has no official name, but it calls itself 'H4ND', pronounced "hand".

Morningwalk Academy is the private boarding school to which Emi attends. Morningwalk offers boarding programs for any students in grades 8-12, and it also has a separate campus for collegiate classes. [Emi attends the collegiate campus.]Morningwalk primarily caters to physically disabled students, although, in some cases, they will accept non-disabled students. [For example, those seeking to become interpreters for the deaf are permitted to attend to learn and become more proficient.]Morningwalk is also uniquely equipped with several departments and facilities befitting a university. For example, they have an engineering department which is responsible for the maintenance of Emi's wheelchair. [Emi is studying English Literature and Poetry.]Morningwalk does not use a mandatory uniform code. Instead, they offer a collection of different clothing styles that students can choose to combine for their attire. This allows the students to choose clothing that better fits their disability.

Morningwalk Academy does not teach Dueling. As a result, Emi had to learn the game herself from those who were willing to teach her. The library is where she first learned, and from there tries to practice when she can. She believes that learning to Duel could help her connect and relate with others.

Alongside her attendance at Morningwalk, Emi also works as a volunteer at a local library as part of her enrollment in the school's book club. She has developed an appreciation for literature, especially English poetry and fiction. The library is not very busy most days, which gives her a lot of time spent organizing the inventory and fulfilling book orders. Although the library belongs to Morningwalk's campus, it does offer books for sale and rent to non-students, as well as an area for games and activities, such as tabletop games and Duel Monsters.
